What are open-box products?
Open-box items are like-new or mint-condition products whose box seal is broken. They may show minor signs of handling and may have been lightly used for only 7 to 15 days.
- Warranty: most retain a valid brand warranty of about 6 to 12 months. A portion of the original period elapses while the product is in transit, storage, or restocking — that is why remaining warranty can be shorter than a factory-fresh sealed unit. The exact period is on the product page.
- Authenticity: we source exclusively from brand-authorised retailers. Items stay protected by the official manufacturer warranty or our Secured by KTech Store seller warranty.
Where do they come from?
Most inventory is premium e-commerce customer returns — products sent back within the platform’s standard return window (typically 7 days). Typical reasons are a change of preference, a price drop, a shift in needs, or minor compatibility issues — not because the product is defective. The units themselves remain in excellent, functional condition.
Open-box is not refurbished
Refurbished products were previously owned and used for an extended period (often 1 to 2 years). They have been repaired or had parts replaced. They rarely carry an official manufacturer warranty.
Open-box items have not been repaired or opened internally. The manufacturer’s original internal seals remain intact. Handling is typically under 30 days, so a valid official brand warranty usually remains.
Condition and quality checks
Open-box products are generally mint and like-new, with little to no signs of previous use. Depending on availability, they may or may not arrive in original brand packaging. Every device goes through a multi-step quality check for functionality, performance, and cosmetics before it ships.
Minor scratches or cosmetic imperfections on open-box items do not qualify for return or refund. See our Return Policy.
Sealed boxes and used products
Sealed boxes are company-sealed and carry full brand warranty, or the warranty stated at purchase.
Used products have been used by a previous owner. Warranty is as stated at purchase.
